AMONG SOCIETY, NARRATIVE AND CAPITAL

The following work, through a bibliographic review, seeks to analyze manga as not only an artistic product, but also as a by-product of speeches placed in a society that had undergone major changes in a small period of time. For this, an investigation of both the manga as a multifaceted object and a hybridized Japan are essential. Not least, it is worth noting that the manga is a by-product of memories of individuals placed in a certain historical context and, therefore, subject to subjectivity and historicity. Considering that, we sought to relate the manga with its socio-historical context and its narrative power, as well as the constant relationships and hybridizations among these narrative powers and the transformations undergone by the manga throughout contemporary times.
