Abstract

From his critique of the formalism present in Kant’s philosophy, Hegel promotes a philosophical and political reflection through his concept of ethics (Sittlichkeit). In order to understand his concept, this article will have two fundamental objectives: first, to analyze the “ethical life”, that is, to undersant the domains that mark it: abstract right, morality and ethics, and, second, to briefly examine the periods or stages in which ethics manifests itself, that is, in the family, in civil society and in the State.
