Abstract

This work aims, in particular, to study the existence, nature, and operations of the agente and passive intellects in Thomas Aquinas, considered in themselves. Accordingly, these powers are to be examined not only separately, but also insofar as they operate in continuity with one another and to the extent that they provide the necessary conditions for human knowledge. At the conclusion of the work, the intention is to clearly establish the foundations and conclusions pertinent to the topics listed above.
