UM TRATADO DE NÃO EXCLUSÃO NO POEMA “MULHER DA VIDA, MINHA IRMÔ

Abstract

This essay aims to analyze Cora Coralina’s approach to the feminine through the poem “Mulher da Vida, Minha Irmã”. To this end, we evaluate the confluence of the poetess’ inclusive view of the diversity of and within people, a predominant trait in her poetry. The work is justified by the topicality of the theme, by the valorization of the feminine in all its nuances in the society in which we live — patriarchal and prejudiced. The poetess’ “late” vision establishes an interdiscursive relationship with the issues defended by the feminist movement. When considering gender-related issues in Cora Coralina, we reflect on the historical exclusion of the feminine in Literature. Her poetic work is also a treatise on being a woman in society, understanding that the verse expresses the values ​​and beliefs of its author, as it is intertwined with the plural issues of society as a whole, according to Louro (2000). Regarding methodology, we based ourselves on a bibliographic survey with a view to exploratory research, concerning the objective outlined here.
