The bad Faith of Psychoanalysis:
Consciousness
Keywords:
Existential Psychoanalysis, Psychic Apparatus, UnconsciousAbstract
In this text, Jean-Paul Sartre's criticism of psychoanalysis is highlighted, particularly in relation to his concept of consciousness. It is argued that Sartre's view of consciousness differs significantly from Freud's, and it is noted that Sartre, despite his animosity towards psychoanalysis, incorporates aspects of it into his own philosophy. It is also criticized that Sartre does not delve into Freud's theoretical developments and omits an analysis of the functioning of the psychic apparatus, which weakens his critiques and his "existential psychoanalysis" project.
