This work aims to describe the experiences of SAMU workers during the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on their quality of life. This is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach carried out with eleven health professionals from SAMU located at the Eusébio base in Ceará in 2021. Virtual semi-structured interviews were used to collect data, grouped to form a corpus. The Iramuteq tool structured the statements analyzed by the authors. A sociodemographic questionnaire was used to describe the profile of the participants through descriptive analysis. Most of the research participants were women, mothers, with more than one job, an average age of 41 years, and an extensive workload. Data processing in Iramuteq showed that there are five classes from the participants' statements, emerging from two subcorpus, which are 1) Fear of contamination: consequences of working at SAMU and 2) Impact of management on workers' quality of life, having classes related to service actions in the context of Covid-19, feelings experienced during the pandemic, family contamination, consequences of the pandemic on workers' quality of life and fragility of the management process in the workers' view. Issues related to the quality of life of SAMU professionals can be an opportune tool to prevent the onset of health conditions in these workers.
