Earth in Balance Gamification in Climate Change Education

Abstract
This article aims to present the creation and application of an educational board game designed to address climate change with high school students from E.E.E.M. CAIC Madezatti. The proposal was developed through the Institutional Program for Teaching Initiation Scholarships (PIBID) at Unisinos, by undergraduate students from the Language, Philosophy, and History programs, between February and June. It involved both theoretical research on socio-environmental issues and the practical and aesthetic construction of the game. The methodology adopted followed a qualitative, participatory approach, integrating creation, mediation, and analysis. The game proved to have potential to foster meaningful and contextualized education, oriented toward a critical reading of the world. The experience highlights the effectiveness of educational games as tools for raising awareness and for the collective construction of knowledge within the school context.
