DIALOGUES BETWEEN THE FEMINISMS AND FOUCAULT:
GENEALOGY, SUBJECTIVITY AND TRANSGRESSION
Keywords:
Feminisms, Foucault, power, transgressionAbstract
Michel Foucault and his reflections influenced theoretical changes in the field of humanities since the 1960s. At the same time, feminism also began to contribute to other ways of making history, especially from the critique of traditional and masculine discourse that silenced social minorities, such as women. In addition to the question of power, Foucault was concerned with resistances, approaching the self-techniques and the practices of freedom, which also attracted the attention of many feminists, promoting dialogues and a Foucaultian and feminist epistemological thought. In this sense, I propose a study of some theorists, among them Tânia Navarro Swain, Margareth McLaren, Margareth Rago, Norma Telles and Dianna Taylor. I intend to briefly review their interpretations and uses of Foucault's concepts and ideas for a theory linked to feminism.
