The intent of this study is to reflect on the manifestation "Burning bras" analyzing the relationship between fashion, body and feminism seeking to understand the processes that made it a symbol event of feminist struggle. Throughout history it is observed that the relationship between fashion and body constitute elements of the subordination and liberation of women, to establish stereotypes appropriate to the patriarchal domination systems, but also women who insubordinate this domination used clothes and body to challenge the patterns that represented the submission. The late 1960s, the historical context of the event, was the scene of changes in women's social position and cultural values and merge a libertarian feminism that problematized women's autonomy over their own bodies. The breasts are attached to motherhood and seduction, papers handled by patriarchal culture and stereotypes that feminists challenged and against whom wanted to speak with a fire that did not happen, but became known as the "Bra-burning".
