IMAGES OF THE PADRE CICERO IN CORDEL

This article presents a study of the iconography related to the figure of Padre Cicero. The images that are analyzed correspond to the set of four cordel leaflets published between the years 1973 and 1979. The focus is on the resonances of the images, the gestures and emotion formulas present in the cord imagery.. For this the research appropriates the concept of Pathosformenl (formulas of emotion) developed by the historian of art Aby Warburg (2005) and reused by the historian Carlo Ginzburg (2014). In this sense, the cordel imagery enhances senses, messages and memory. Thus, the concept of Pathosformenl is be used in the analyzes with the intention of presenting its applicability in the iconography of the cordel literature.
