The text has the objective of analyzing how the work of the Worker’s Party in the cases Electoral College and Mensalão, by means of the party orientations and the speeches of the parliamentarians. The sources used are the resolutions of meetings and congresses of the PT and the speeches found in the National Congress Daily, Camera Dairies of Deputies and the Federal Senate. In a methodological perspective, the method of discourse analysis done is based on the construction of social values through political languages, actors and historical, linguistic and political contexts. Parliamentary discourses and party orientations change in the content and discursive practice in cases analyzed: from the emphatic critique of the elites pact and the no participation of the workers in the political transition in the 1980 to the individual proposals of each parliamentarian for the solution of the Mensalão.
