Abstract

The present essay aims to present and argue about the occupation process of the region of Nova Andradina in the south of Mato Grosso through colonization policies of “empty spaces” proposed by the government with March to West. Thereby, the access to land in the region of Nova Andrade, in the historic context of South of Mato Grosso, it happens through colonizer Moura Andrade & Cia in the period of 1933 to 1950 by buying and deforesting a lot of terrains and farms, as example Primavera and Baile chosen because their fertile soil. This fact favored the come of others colonizers and migrants aiming for work and land. Thus, to understand this process of colonization it was utilized oral fonts and documents which supported the research. Throughout this perspective, this work purposes to comprehend the colonization of Nova Andradina related to social, political and cultural questions.
