In the last two decades, the tradition of biographical studies in Brazil has achieved considerable advances. Dissertations and theses emerged with all vigor, problematizing characters mainly in the field of letters and historiography. An example of this expansion in the historiographical field is the publication of the book "The Biographical Construction of Clóvis Beviláqua: memories of admiration and stigmata", by the historian and sociologist Wilton Silva, fruit of his thesis of free teaching, presented in 2013 at the State University Júlio de Mesquita Filho (UNESP), Campus of Assis, in São Paulo. Published in book in 2016, by Editora Alameda, the work presents a presentation by the anthropologist Suely Kofes (UNICAMP) and the preface by the historian Durval Muniz de Albuquerque Jr. (UFRN).
