In a context of military dictatorship, several Ceará women, organized in various leftist movements, to fight against repression, but by the fight against dictatorship emerged patterns of specific struggle in claiming rights and gender equality. Feminisms, the years 1960-1980, the military dictatorship period in Brazil, is configured as a heterogeneous and plural movement that influenced women in different underground organizations, who fought the dictatorship. This influence allowed the start of the gender debate within these organizations, and often women played secondary roles and tasks received denoting a sexual division of social roles. The clash caught by many women activists was to seek recognition of their specific struggles within their organizations, punctuated by feminists of the period.
