Abstract

This paper discusses the trajectory of the pair of cantadores Aldeni and Aldeci Bessa (Bessa brothers) by inserting them into the popular tradition. To this end the interview held with the same serves as a pretext for understanding the use of life histories as a methodological resource in research and also as a field for reflection on the reinvention of the popular.
