HISTORY AND MEMORY OF INCARCERATED YOUTH IN A CITY OF MARAJÓ - PARÁ

This article is the result of a research which culminated in Work Course Completion. The research aimed to narrate and reconstruct stories and school memories of incarcerated youth in a city of Marajó - Pará; and to evaluate the school's contributions and representations left by her life in these young people. As for the approach, we use qualitative research, with the objective of an exploratory research and procedures of ethnographic approach. As partners, we selected five (05) young people incarcerated in the Regional Recovery Center Brief (C.R.R.B) which also functions as Penitentiary Unit Marajó Region (U.P.R.M). Data were obtained through analysis of documents and the interview with semi-structured script. The survey results showed that young people bring similar stories and recollections about their lives. They present their challenges facing internal and external factors that contributed to truancy and their insertions in crime. The study points the desire of these young people to return to school and to the activities of there, since, from the current situation, they realized how the school contributed positively in their lives.
