Abstract

In the rainy afternoon of March 17, 2014, the artist Nilo Brito Firmeza, better known by Estrigas nickname, a name that carries from boy; received me in his firmness site (a lull island located in the district of Fortaleza Mondubim -Ceará), for a chat about art, modernism and other important topics related to painting, such that: local art names and impressions of Ceará art contemporary. 

Son of Hermenegildo Brito Firmeza and Barbara Brito Firmeza, Estrigas was born on September 19, the Baron of Rio Branco Street in the center of Fortaleza. Degree in dentistry, passes to attend Cearense Society of Plastic Arts - SCAP in 1950, where he made his first courses in painting and drawing, and it semembro this board in 1953. It carries the dentist profession in parallel with painting , acting as a contributor to journals and major newspapers in the city of Fortaleza, publishing texts on visual arts.
