In this paper we analyze the construction of a Political Culture in João Brígido starting from some belonging places where this intellectual was active during the second half of the 19th and the early 20th century. For this, we point three quick appropriate moments of João Brígido acting: the political environment and the broader perspective that this concept may raise; Freemasonry as a space for discussion of knowledge production and fight against the enemies of this intellectual, mainly linked to the Catholic Church; and the press, the main performance space and articulation of Brígido.
