Abstract

This study aims to analyze the writings of the Journal CLÃ related to artists who participated in the April of the SCAP salons. Focus will be given in the texts produced between 1948 and 1949. Choose from these two years was given for having the issues of the magazine, aimed texts for the visual arts, written by Otacílio Necklaces and Barboza Leite. After the year 1949 there was still room in the magazine for the visual arts, however, between the two years mentioned, occurred certain constancy through the texts of the two authors cited above. Try, from this, to analyze the social relationships configured between SCAP and CLÃ groups, in particular as regards its approaches around April salons. Therefore, the notions of sociability, intellectual and generation will be discussed here as historical categories that allow us to reflect on the issues to be addressed.
