The Democratic Management in the Cearense Public School An Experience of Democracy and Citizenship

The Brazilian educational policy adopted from 1990, a new model of school administration, collegial management. The school community consists of segments of the leadership, teachers, students, parents and community members outside the
school are urged to collectively decide the direction of education in school. The interest in this subject arose from the researcher's contact with the reality presented by the professional management coordinator Elementary School and Middle State of Amazonas. The research aimed to characterize the general model of democratic management experienced by the school, specifically with regard to the understanding of democratic governance from the perspective of participating
community, analyzing the importance of the School Board and the School Development Plan for the collegiate as well as the impact of the election of directors and the formation of the Center Manager.
