Action of the Family Planning Program of the Marco Unit Basic Knowledge, Attitudes, and Practices of a User Group

The Family Planning Program, part of the programs of Public Policy of the Unified Health System (SUS). In the construction of this Master's thesis on ACTION PROGRAM FOR FAMILY PLANNING IN THE BASIC UNIT OF MARCO KNOWLEDGE, ATTITUDES AND PRACTICES OF A users group, aims to analyze knowledge, attitudes and practices of group user participating in the Program of Family Planning, the type of study was descriptive qualitative, exploratory, application of questionnaires to 85 women pregnant gilts on knowledge, attitudes and practices and action Family Planning program. The results found 27% of respondents have incomplete primary education, 41.2% are cooks and home, with 86.4%, have a family income between 1-2 minimum wages, 57.6% do not use family planning, 73, 5% did not participate in the meeting of Family Planning, 30.4% responded that use of behavioral methods of contraception, the contraceptive is the most widely used hormonal with 47%, 42.4% were advised contraceptive pharmacist or made free choice, 60% of respondents would have planned his son if he had known the family planning and 40% of respondents do not even know their children would plan family planning. Studies indicate that the accession of a contraceptive method for women the number of unwanted pregnancies is significant, as 81.2% of respondents do not support your pregnancy. The result obtained in this Master's thesis certainly contribute to reflection and redirection of services offered to users of the Family Planning Program, and the multidisciplinary team, in its role as an educator in prevention and health promotion of the population.
