Abstract

The purpose of this article is to analyze the educational policies of Youth and Adults - EJA, the Municipal Education in Bethlehem, in the period 2005-2008. The aim was to deepen the theoretical studies on the education of youth and adults in Brazilian education; legislation raising the education of youth and adults in the state of Pará, specifically the Municipal Bethlehem, and identifying within the Educational Policies, indicators of access and retention of students in the process of EJA school. The educational policies were designed to meet the rights of all Brazilian education and, although they are still enlarged excluding large numbers of young and adult of such opportunities either by non-access, either by non-permanence.
