Abstract

The main objective of this article is to discover and understand the functionality of the form integral hinge on Professional Education state schools in the state of Ceará, created from the Law No. 14,273 of December 19, 2008 in line with the Federal Decree No. 5. 154/04.To understand this we aim based on the Brazilian legislation with regard to professional education making a historical period from the LDB - No. 9394/96, the Federal Decree No. 2,208 / 97, the Federal Decree No. 5. 154/04, and finally the analysis of the guiding reference this policy in the State of Ceará. As methodological procedures were performed an extensive document analysis and literature review focused on taking the existing dichotomy between basic education and vocational education. The findings were that the integrated high school vocational education focuses on ensuring a new concept and a new curriculum proposal for public school of Ceará
