Abstract

The text discusses the making of subjectivity male’s rituals, pointing out the actual difficulties experienced by man, his necessity of differentiation of woman and the fact that, on the contrary of her, he is made negatively, that is, he must not be a baby, a woman and a homosexual. The text stands out that this phenomenon is engendered by the patriarchal system, that defines and controls the social relations of gender since many centuries and, although it has been losing its power, what supports some socially considered feminine capacities, it continues, by the other side, making men confused because of the increasing multiplicity of gender roles, what has characterized, for various social thinkers, as a crisis of male subjectivity. In conclusion, the text denounces the frequent context of violence where men are still made in our days.
