State, Educational Policy and Pedagogical Innovation

The essay addresses a significant dimension of educational policy: its relationship with the challenges of the process of change in a globalized world in which the economic dimension is taken as a benchmark of social policies. How to change the school, how to change the pedagogical practice, is at the center of the debate on innovation as an educational policy. This is an enigmatic problem, since the innovation initiatives undertaken by educational reforms have not found fully satisfactory and, even less, definitive answers. The theme is examined in the first two series from a theoretical perspective. In the third, taking as a reference the experience of the training cycles and the telenovela in the educational context of Ceará, he makes considerations about the effectiveness of these policies in promoting improvements in teaching.
