Violência nas escolas:
é caso de polícia?

The school violence has become a sustained phenomenon and it is growing more intense in scholar routine. It is a social challenge to understand the manifestations’ complexity and the representations in the school. The intention was to comprehend why educators and education managers have lost space in the public debate about the topic; therefore, the police action have gained strength. The object covers the partnership between the Police and the school in the fight against the violence in the schools in the North Zone of Macapá. The time boundary for this study was the information gathering about the relationship between the police and the school from 2017 to 2019, so that it is possible the police actions’ categorization as a result of actions in the learning unites. This study’s objective was investigate how that partnership elucidates solutions about actions of violence that adversely affect the school and the related spaces. The research sources were: bibliographic study, field visit, document analysis, observation, interviews and questionnaires. The study shows that the relationship between police and school is necessary; however, it should be a bigger presence of other areas that articulate actions in this context, so that each case is
addressed in a systemic way, respecting the actions specificities.
