Holds a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, a Master's Degree and a Doctorate in Clinical Health Care from the State University of Ceará (Universidade Estadual do Ceará - UECE) with a sandwich period in the Postgraduate Program in Production Engineering at the Federal University of Santa Catarina (Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina - UFSC). He is an Adjunct Professor at level 4 of the Nursing Department and the Stricto Sensu Postgraduate Programs: 1) Health and Community and 2) Nursing at the Federal University of Piauí (Universidade Federal do Piauí - UFPI), editor-in-chief of the Revista de Enfermagem da UFPI and associate editor of the Revista Mineira de Enfermagem. He is interested in research involving methodological studies, the development and validation of instruments and the epidemiology of chronic non-communicable diseases.
