Abstract

We have as an object of study the representations of the daily migrants quixadaenses on St. Paul. We leave the analysis of interviews with a group of men and women, between the years 1973 to 2001, emigrated to the capital and then returned to the Scout Quixadá. It is worth noting that migrants, at various times of the interviews told us that St. Paul is a good place indeed, where they got jobs and have adapted. Then, through the information, we ask: why have returned from Sao Paulo and started to live again in Quixadá? By using history as a cultural perspective, we aim to access pockets of sensitivities by analyzing our object when we track the reality and try to decipher it through the representations.
