‘História “real” e história alternativa no filme Watchmen (2012)

Abstract

The theme of this research is the movie “Watchmen” (2009), an adaptation of the graphic novel created by English writer Alan Moore in the 80s. Its plot is based on the 1980 alternative, where fear of atomic war devastates society, the story of a group of superheroes mingling with real events of the Cold War period. This article seeks to analyze and understand the relationships between the “real” story and alternate history (fictional) contained in the film. Therefore, to adopt theoretical and methodological area of history and cinema. We conclude that in this work the countless possibilities of a fictitious históra become a reality can really happen.
