Poetry cinema and intermediality at Passos no Silêncio

Abstract

We propose to investigate the concepts of poetry cinema and intermediality from the analysis of the short film Passos no Silêncio (2008), by Guto Parente. The filmmaker also wrote the screenplay and film editing. In it, we see the conjunction of various media ensuring a multitude of screens, contained both its material and symbolic presence. Starting from the premise that poetry is is our interiority, Passos no silêncio fits in poetry cinema.
