On political culture:
a conceptual resumption of the theme

This article aims to establish a debate on political culture as a theme. To do this, it is divided into two blocks. The first is about resuming the making of political culture as a concept through literature review, bringing propositions, readings, and views by scholars on the subject. The second is about the extensive contribution of Gabriel A. Almond and Sidney Verba to political culture as a theme based on the book The civic culture, regarded as the foundational work in this field of knowledge due to its impact and influence on Political Science; also in this block, criticism and considerations regarding the conceptual and methodological bases launched in the aforementioned book are brought, in addition to brief reflections by Ronald Inglehart and Robert D. Putnam, considered two major second-generation culturalist authors.
