Cette étude visait à examiner comment le Suriname a guidé le comportement récent de ses relations économiques internationales et comment le chemin parcouru a contribué aux standards actuels de son insertion internationale. La période choisie pour nos réflexions va de 2007 à 2017 et la recherche a été préparée à partir de sources bibliographiques et documentaires pour réfléchir sur les hypothèses théoriques du domaine de l’Économie Politique Internationale. En bref, ce petit pays a le marché des commodities comme principal secteur d’exportation et a commencé à investir dans les infrastructures et les plans de développement à long terme afin d’attirer plus d’accords et d’investissements, mais il doit varier ses secteurs productifs et surmonter les instabilités politiques pour améliorer l’environnement économique.
