Abstract

This article deals with the subject of public youth policies. It is an initial discussion on the contemporary understanding of youth, identified several approaches to youth assigned by society. Afterwards, a contextualization of youth policies
internationally and in Brazil, reporting the trajectory of these policies and their situation at the moment.
