Abstract

Geof the Feastof St. Anthony,Barbalha-EC, historicaland culturalperspective, and is structured into threethemes. Thefirstcomprisesthe trajectory ofdevelopment andidentity formationin Brazil, the second contextualizes theparty at
thepopularparty scene, making adescription innarrativeandphotographic recordsof social agents, and the third emphasizesthe registration ofintangible heritageof the party,and hisrelevance.The trajectory of theagentsthat make up theevent and itsritualsis perceivedbyaconflict thatexists between theofficialreligionand popular Catholicism, so, too, we observeaclash betweenthe attendeesand the government.Theculture iscontextualized as apossibility of exchangingknowledge,affirmation,cooperation, solidarity and promotion.The eventis presented in thepopularparty scene, with anapproach tocultural celebration, social, economic and religious. We noted,talkof this work, theaspect
of thedisclosure of theevent reflectsarange of interests, power relations andsearch fornotoriety thatoccurs bothin relation toagents of the stateand in relationto event participants. The inventory processof the Feastof St. Anthony,Barbalhaalreadybeingdonein order toregisteritin the bookof the celebrations.
