The Process of Building Public Policies in the Riverside of Scalping Victim in the Amazon

Abstract

The scalping is an entity accidental serious repercussions, and recurring in the Amazon region and especially in Pará Geoprocessing applied to Public Health allows disease mapping, risk assessment, action planning and evaluation of health care networks. The objective of this work was present from the clinical, epidemiological, public policies, legislation to hydrographic mapping of scalping accidents in the state of Pará, through GIS. We conducted a retrospective observational study, cross-sectional patient charts scalping victims by force in motor boating, attended the Santa Casa de Misericordia do Pará (FSCMPA) of both sexes and any age group, who have suffered scalping traction motor boat, in the years 2005-2010. It was observed that accidents were more frequent in the middle region of Marajó (46.3%) and occurred throughout the year, predominantly between January to March and October to December. The profile was found for women, 6-10 years old, evangelical, and students with fundamental incompleto.A most accidents occurred between the 12 and 18h ​​(p = 0.0040), boats (p <0.0001) family-owned (p <0.0001) and no fairing protecting the engine, since it was not statistically significant (p = 0.1547). Most scalping suffered partial (58.5%) and without exposure of the cranial vault (53.7%), associated with multiple injured areas (31.7%). Statistical significance in the correlation of the type of scalping and religion. Finally, regarding public policies and legislation observed dry no public policy in the form of law to support the victims of scalping.
