Abstract

This work aims to analyze the implications of the case Uirapuru Group - Orchestra Clay for the development of cultural artistic heritage crafts pottery clay. The work comes at a time when the Brazilian government and civil society organizations try to strengthen mutual relations of joints within the economy of culture as a way to preserve and promote existing cultural practices in different groups in strengthening the country's cultural heritage location. The purpose of this relationship is to raise the actions of community groups with a view to statement references the identity of the local cultural heritage and at the same time an orientation to stimulate local effort for the development of these groups from these new possibilities of the cultural economy. This revival of socioeconomic possibilities of culture promoted by the government did emerge in Ceará different groups, including the Uirapuru Group - Orchestra Barro, an extension of the Culture program in the community, as a symbol of tradition and cultural heritage of the town and State.
