Empowerment, Citizen Formation and Life Projects in Children and Youth Education, from the Perspective of Human Rights Guarantee:
a study on the experience of the needy child care front - FACC

This study that has as theme: Empowerment, Citizenship Education and Life’s Project in the Children and Youth socioeducation, in view of the Guarantee of Human Rights: A Study about the Experience of Frente de Assistência à Criança Carente - FACC, came in seeking to investigate how the socioeducation children, adolescents and young people in view of the guarantee of human rights experienced in Frente de Assistência à Criança Carente - FACC can contribute to empowerment, citizenship training and building life projects of the groups served by the proposal. The main motivation for this came from my professional work in the Lagamar community, through the social intervention of the organization and in the militancy as a member of civil society, from the indication of that organization, especially in areas of social control aimed at Guarantee’s Policy of Human rights of Children and Adolescents of Ceará. The organization has over twenty-five years of social work in that community and its institutional curriculum is a constant the care of the social needs of the population, with a focus on direct attetion to children and adolescents in the context of the implementation of promotional actions and social preventives. During this validity of performance the organization across different moments in national and local socio-political scenario, which led to different strategies of action. The period chosen for the focus of this study focuses on the period from 2007 to 2013, during the trial of Freire's pedagogy in the program area associated with the methodological strategies and creation of social technologies from the perspective of ensuring the human rights of children and youth, order to contribute the construction of patterns of sociability promoters of a culture of peace in family and community relationships. The research included literature research, desk research and imagery, rescuing the indexed institutional memory, briefly, to the redemption of the struggles waged by the Lagamar community. In order to understand the possible impacts generated by the organization's work in the public served within the said proposal, the fieldwork turned to listening to those involved, by conducting of focus groups, application building tools for the diagnosis, wheels conversations, supporting the monitoring, evaluation and construction of strategic actions to adressing social demands brought by the groups. The study revealed positive aspects and achievements within the social-familial relationships, personal and social empowerment of adolescents and young people, through the adoption of altruistic life projects.
