Continuous Benefit Benefit - GCP and Disability: A study on the relationship of care and dependency within beneficiary families
Keywords:
Disabilities, Continuous Cash Benefit, familyAbstract
This work, originally from qualitative research whose methodology consisted of bibliographical, documentary and field research, aims to understand the effects of disability in the family of BPC beneficiaries, considering the care and dependency relationships among its members. Among the data collection instruments, we highlight the systematic observation and personal testimony. We conclude that for families who care for people with disabilities care is taken for granted in personalized social roles historically constructed and involves various feelings and can express themselves positively or negatively depending on the social relations that are built within the family and contextual factors involved.
