Esta entrevista ocorreu no âmbito do seminário “Democracia e Populismo de Direita” (realizado de 26 a 30 de julho de 2019), ministrado pelo cientista político Leonardo Avritzer, da Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (UFMG), autor de Impasses da democracia no Brasil (Avritzer, 2016) e do recém-publicado O pêndulo da democracia (Avritzer, 2019).
