Reflections on terrorists attacks in Paris

Abstract

The present work deals with a normative and legal reflection on international terrorism, with emphasis on the attacks that occurred on November 13, 2015 in Paris. The article clarifies that, even though the international system is legally advanced, all resolutions expressed are still in situations of improvement, since new symbolic and material elements are included in the classification of the terrorist act. Furthermore, the present work brings a contribution from International Relations, highlighting how international terrorism is conceived by States and what are the implications of those States' decisions for the continuation of a war against terror.
