Abstract

This article intends to present an anthropological discussion about the relationships among gender, cisheteronormativity, sociality and mobility based on ethnographic studies in the countryside of Goiás in catholic festivities contexts in which movement between fields and cities is a constitutive part of their dynamics. The idea is to provide updates of research experiences conducted for the doctorate in Anthropology, defended in 2006 and, at the same time, recent considerations from brief fieldwork undertaken ten years later in the same region, trying to understand transformations and permanences in the forms of making festivity and producing difference through permanent mobility between field and city, the extraordinary and the everyday. In this displacement, how cisheteronormative relations are configured? How can we understand homosocial relations that, at the same time, reproduce the so-called hegemonic normativity?
