Abstract

This article examines the precariousness of the working relations of black women, based on two social divisions of labor: sexual and racial. Both social divisions of labor make it possible for capitalist society to reproduce by precariously increasing numbers of working women, especially black women. The analysis proposed here, unlike the theses that announce the end of the work, considers that this category is central not only to apprehending the historicity of the man-nature relationship but also to understanding the consolidation of the exploitation of the worker(e)s in contemporary capitalism.
