Abstract

The aim of this article is to reflect on the context of the emergence of new movements in the post-2013 football scenario. In this sense, the research was guided by a qualitative perspective, in which bibliographical research and documental research was carried out on the context of emergence of new fans. In addition, we seek to collect data from journalistic materials. The investigation process showed that politicization in football is a reflection of the antagonisms between left and right in brazilian society. It is possible to infer, from the investigative process, that the boom in the politicization of football has brought new surges to the football stands, opening a space for disputes between conservatism and progressivism, involving the football universe.
