Written in quarantine 2: Ever science is human

Abstract

Based on a famous Christian axiom, the article discusses the brazilian public funding for scientific research, notably based on Capes’ budgetary evolution data in the period from 2011 to 2020. Demonstrating that, in the second half of the observed period, this budget had an accelerated reduction for all scientific areas, the author postulates that the current federal government is not only anti-humanities, but unscientific in general and relates this posture to the anti-democratic propensity of Bolsonarism.
