Dual system, corporate investments and career choice for young people

Abstract

This article analyzes the current trends in vocational education in Germany, especially with regard to the social and economic role of the dual system. We will discuss the transition process that the said system, and because its future also depends on the interests of companies to continue as partners. We will further characterize the the need for internal and external reform of this historic system, mainly in schools, with a view to changing the form of teaching-learning, favoring the introduction of new models didactic. Finally, we will discuss how the national productive reorganization and global focus on German vocational training policy.
