Social Analysis of Theoretical and Fictional Power Images

Abstract

We are interested in describing and explaining from the point of view of sociological knowledge which supports the “Discovery” information of the Brazil, understand its historical approach and how it is fictionally rescued by the media. We analyzed the images of power elaborated over 500 years through theoretical and media vectors. Marked by: a) Relationship between the intellectual and the State; b) Projects for the nation; here elaboration of myths of origin and communicational development; d) Female representations in a relationship between sexuality and slutty.
