There are talks over the historical and cultural construction of the gender relations like power relations and the predominance of the male dominations. This work is based on literature review about the subject and conduction research through the use of half structured interview with a woman that has suffered conjugal violence. There was a search to elaborate an analysis about the source of the unequals relations between the sexes, their reproductive structures and the way how to configure the fight for the power between men and women. Also shows like a purpose a reflection about the changes that these relations have suffered in last years with the woman presence in market work and the breaking of the sexual functions in society. The applied methodology to this work involves qualitative methodology, looking for a contextualization of the interviewed people´s words in a discussion about the gender category. Finally it is concluded that the gender relations were built through the anatomical and physiological differences between the sexes. These differences where produced along the history by the family, the educations and communication systems increasing the patriarchal ideology still alive in society. The work reasserted the necessity of to invest in the gender stereotypes breaking through a work between state and society
