Public Policies for Youth in Brazil

Abstract

This article deals with the object of public policies for youth. We initially discuss on the understanding of contemporary youth, identifying the various looks attributed to youths by society. Subsequently, we carry out a brief contextualization and rescue of policies for youth in Brazil, reporting the course of these policies and their situation at the present moment. The current framework of policies for youth in our country shows that there is still a long way to go to turn into State public policies the current government policies for the young people.
