empowerment as a strategy for construction of welfare

Abstract

This article describes the experience of an extension project university that develops activities guided by a multidisciplinary approach. Aims to reflect on empowerment processes using the contribution theoretical and methodological approach to the Person Centered Approach. This approach operationalized as the tool used in the process of conducting activities described project, that is, as the object of observation and consolidation of this article. Finally, it discusses the practice developed in the daily life of the project as social technology to be developed and replicated in spaces with a similar socio-cultural scenario.
