Background to the first reform at the national level in teacher training

Abstract

In this text, we will deal with a historical-legal view of initial teacher education in Brazil, associated with socioeconomic and political aspects. The analysis will cover the period between the Independence of Brazil and its assumption as a sovereign state until the mid-1940s. flavor of the States. We will also highlight the birth of teacher training in Ceará.
